I am praying this goes through.
I am confident that we will not let the opportunity for an ultimate summer blazer and/or suit in dark navy pass us by. Although I am equally fond of bright navy, dark is the both the most versatile and difficult to find in summer-weight.

Re: Special: Dark Navy (Midnight) Blue Piuma

A beautiful rich hue which doesn't exist in any of the standard lightweight fabric books. A hot and humid start to October has stressed the urgency of stockpiling more Piuma while we have the chance. I will be very grumpy if I have to suffer the indignity of fresco again. Decent hand but very scratc...

Re: Tropical business suit colors

With the exception of a business dinner, dark suiting seems hors contexte. A light grey fresco should hit the spot. Too light a blue can appear fashion forward. I personally find that blues don't look as rich in lighter fabrics, especially the brighter hues. A classic khaki suit in a smart cut (not ...

I came across a fairly nice dinner jacket (double-breasted) with no buttonholes. As I'd like to wear a boutonniere, would you recommend I have one (or two) holes added? I hope this would be a relatively simple procedure, but I'd hate to see any harm done to a nice jacket...

That is a great looking caped coat, but I cannot see myself (or anyone, for that matter) wearing it. To pull it off without appearing "costumey" would be an incredible feat, and it would more likely draw attention to oneself conspicuously. It would defy rather than engender elegance.

I couldn't find the coat you speak of, but a classic trenchcoat is wonderful. Perhaps its ubiquitous, but so are charcoal overcoats in winter. I think well made trenchcoats are terribly rare, and the Aquascutum MTM seems like a great choice to me.

I used a badger brush but found it superfluous. I stick to the Mach 3 after a warm shower, which is enough for me.

This Kilgour list is the only time I have seen the "tautz lapel," and I am quite curious about what this is. Is there anyone who knows? Tautz lapel??
