While this is indeed an engaging pursuit, Waterbury does not sell buttons in small quantities to retail customers. Has anyone here ordered buttons from them in reasonable quantities?arkirshner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2005 11:41 pmGentlemen,
Today I spent quite a while perusing the selection of over 40,000 metal buttons at http://www.waterburybutton.com I could not help but find myself in Hamlet mode, unable to make a decision. And so I ask for your opinions. What images on buttons do you favor for your blazers?
What is your choice for blazer buttons?

Benson & Clegg. Where I bought St. George slaying the dragon.
I had a bunch made by someone on esty. I wanted a dark-ish bronze with a family monogram.
Otherwise, there are a few good ones in the B&C and other standard books. A nice gold basket weave, and I have also used a gunmetal grey plain (polished).

Would you be willing to share a link to the Etsy seller?
When I can locate the box.
I went with the three lions brass colored for my navy blazer. I bought the jacket from Anderson and Sheppard, but Benson & Clegg has a similar one, within their array of choices alluded to by the previous posters.
Visit Button Queen in London. They have an excellent selection.

I use brass shanked buttons from my university. The Waterbury Button Company makes them.
I remember Will from A Suitable Wardrobe once said that blazer buttons should be made of real gold. I adore Will, but do not have the means to purchase gold buttons and would be horrified if one ever fell off and got lost somewhere.

I always enjoyed reading Will's stuff and I learned a lot. One of the things I learned was that he had a propensity for making hyperbolic statements.

Solid gold? Here you go: https://www.theliningcompany.co.uk/butt ... d-buttons/
{ really like the dark blue blazer and have three of them one for summer, winter and midyear. All three have the same buttons, pewter with a crest. I only paid a few dollars for them at Joanne Fabrics and have had them for years, In my view ,they are perfect.
