Who has an expierence with his shirts and ties?
Is it nice quality? Better than a N&L or T&A ?

I have used Mr. O'Flynn, and I can recommend him.

He was recommended to me by George Glasgow and Alan Bennett.

He used to be in charge of bespoke shirts at New & Lingwood. He recently set-up his own business within the premises of Fallan & Harvey.

At our meeting at NYC's Intercontinental Hotel he was very businesslike and efficiient. He makes an initial trial shirt and asks that you make an initial purchase of six shirts, however, he states that he's not strict about it. E.g., I initially ordered three shirts, and I told him that I would order further shirts on his return to NYC. His primarily purpose is to get acquainted and enlarge his customer base.

Thus far he has made the initial shirt for me. It fits very well. He followed my instructions, such as a larger buttonhole on the French cuff and a cuff 3.25" deep. No changes are needed. I will now order further shirts.

The workmanship is on the same level as T & A. Machine made shirt, single needle tailoring, pearl buttons, and gussets.

I cannot comment on ties and accessories.

You ask if he is as good as N&L? When stopping by N&L just last month ... staff indicated that although he is independent from N&L ... he makes for them.

N&L was my first introduction to Sean ... that was back in the 1980s.

A little bird2000 told me that Sean's prices are the same as N&L's as well. So what would be the reason for choosing one over the other? Would N&L have a broader selection of cloth? Would Sean offer a higher level of work in his own-label shirts?

Perhaps some of the preference comes to how the measuring gets done. Mr. O'Flynn is presumably no longer doing the road shows for N&L. But the larger firm may be a more convenient point of sale for some consumers.

Correct. Mr. O'Flynn is doing the "roadshow" now solely for his own label.

Thank you, Andrey, for this thread´s update.
Mr. O´Flynn says that a shirt cuff must be cut in a way that it "holds there". And he even says that has an influence on how a man feels about himself. It might sound superficial, but I think he´s absolutely right.

Great video - he obviously knows his stuff. He will be my next port of call if I move from H&H
