What is the most old school / traditional of the heartiest of serge suitings? Not quite topcoat weight but hefty and dense; tightly woven; firm, bone dry hand.

Lesser 16 is all gone. Dugdale Fearnaught is 17-18oz. Harrison Universal is less polished but not without a confident charm. Somewhere there are a few elegant 16oz worsteds from Scabal.
Fox now has some plausible plain twills that could be very good. In the Worsted Classics book.
[edit] And Ask Okey has commissioned a 17oz Lesser in navy herringbone, which appears to be available to the general public for a rich price.
